Artist's Bio
Aimee Johanan is a British-Chinese-Indian abstract artist based in London. Trained at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London in Fashion Design, and London College of Style in Seasonal Colour Analysis.
She uses colour as ingredients to feed the body and mind. In her studio practice, she explores how colour can be used to turn the dial up and down on our nervous systems, inviting us to delve into our inner landscapes and be present for emotions. Whilst sending signals to the body about the environment that surrounds us: safe, plenty, alive.
She creates painted inlay collages with biophilic design principles in mind, composing restful, geometric arrangements with botanical hues.
